Product Overview

Cold-rolled sheets are produced from hot-rolled coils at room temperature below the recrystallization temperature. Cold-rolled sheets are widely used in fields such as automobile manufacturing and electrical products. Cold rolling occurs below the recrystallization temperature but is generally associated with material rolling at room temperature.

Specifications

1. Minimum thickness ranges from 0.2 to 4mm, width from 600 to 2000mm, and steel plate length from 1200 to 6000mm.

2. Grades: Q195a-Q235a, Q195af-Q235af, Q295a(b)-Q345 A(b); SPCC, SPCD, SPCE, ST12-15; DC01-06.

3. Performance: Mainly uses low carbon steel grades, requiring excellent cold bending and welding performance, as well as certain stamping capabilities.

Production Process

Since there is no heating during the production process, defects common in hot rolling such as pitting and oxide scale are absent, resulting in good surface quality and high smoothness. Cold-rolled products also have higher dimensional accuracy, and their performance and structure meet specific requirements such as electromagnetic properties and deep drawing capability.

Application Fields

Cold-rolled thin steel sheets are usually referred to as cold-rolled thin plates or simply cold plates, sometimes mistakenly written otherwise. They are steel plates with thickness less than 4 millimeters made by further cold rolling hot-rolled steel strips of ordinary carbon structural steel. Since the rolling process is carried out at room temperature, no oxide scale is produced. Therefore, cold-rolled steel sheets have excellent surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. In addition, after annealing treatment, their mechanical and processing properties surpass those of hot-rolled thin steel sheets. In various fields, especially in the home appliance manufacturing industry, cold-rolled thin sheets are gradually replacing hot-rolled thin sheets.
